EXCEL 101

Excel spreadsheets can be used to efficiently and quickly manage, sort, and organize data and therefore have many practical, everyday applications. You can create address and contact lists, track your expenses, balance your checkbook, and more. This class will give an overview of Microsoft's Excel program including vocabulary, sizing columns and rows, formatting cells, and how to use the Formula Bar and AutoSum. Students need basic mouse and keyboarding skills for this class.

EXCEL: RANDOM EXCEL TIPS AND TRICKS

With our Microsoft Excel 101 class, basic features of Excel spreadsheets are explored – including vocabulary, formatting, and formula functions used for such tasks as managing household expenses and maintaining contact lists. This class will build on that knowledge by showing you some tips and tricks you can use when creating a spreadsheet that will make your tasks more organized such as conditional formatting, making a graph from your data, advanced formulas, flash fill, and more. Students need to have attended our Excel 101 class or have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

USING MICROSOFT WORD TO CREATE BROCHURES, PROGRAMS AND FLYERS

Many of us have Microsoft Word on our computers, but do not realize all the things we can do with it. Come learn how to create your own trifold brochure, half-fold program, or single page flyer with Word. You may use one of our laptops or bring your own. You can even bring a project to work on and ask questions. Students need a basic understanding of Word, plus mouse and keyboarding skills for this class.

WORD 101

Microsoft Word is a word-processing software used to write letters, make lists, take notes, create resumes, generate invoices, etc. And even if you are not planning on doing a lot of writing, word processing will come in handy when you are composing an email. This class will provide you with the information you need to use Microsoft Word to copy, cut, and paste; to underline, center, change font sizes and styles; to save your documents, and use spell check. Students need basic mouse and keyboarding skills for this class.
